May 2026: Our Month of Grace for Consistent Dominion
WEEK 1 (MAY 2–8) — ESTABLISHING DOMINION
Reality: What you don’t control will control you
DAY 8 — DOMINION OVER TIME AND PRIORITIES
REDEEMING THE CURRENCY OF ETERNITY
Ephesians 5:15-16
“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
Opening Thought
You do not "find" time for dominion; you "make" time by exercising authority over your clock.
Reflection
As we conclude our first week of Establishing Dominion, we must address the most valuable resource God has given us: Time. Time is the horizontal canvas upon which the vertical glory of God is displayed. If you have no dominion over your schedule, you will eventually lose dominion over your destiny. "Redeeming the time" literally means to buy it back from the marketplace of distractions and vanity.
From first principles, time is a limited resource, but priorities are a choice. Most people aren't busy; they are simply unorganized. They allow the "urgent" (the phone call, the social media notification, the random request) to kidnap the "important" (prayer, family, professional growth). Consistent dominion requires you to stop being a "manager" of your time and start being a "master" of it.
To have dominion over time, you must apply the principle of First Things First. When you give God the first of your day, you authorize Him to govern the rest of it. When you schedule your most important tasks during your peak energy hours, you are working with the "Grace of Wisdom."
The "evil days" mentioned in Ephesians are days where the atmosphere is designed to waste your potential. If you "walk circumspectly" (looking around with focus), you will see where time is being stolen. Dominion is established when you stop saying "I don't have time" and start saying "That is not a priority."
When you master your time, you move from the "chaos of the clock" to the "rhythm of the Spirit." You stop rushing and start reigning.
Prayer
Father, I thank You for the gift of time. I receive the Grace to redeem every hour of my day. I renounce the spirit of procrastination and time-wasting. I receive the wisdom to set my priorities right and the discipline to stick to them. I declare that my time is under my authority, and I use it to advance Your Kingdom and my assignment. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Declarations
- I am the master of my schedule; my time serves my vision.
- I redeem the time and refuse to be distracted by the "evil" of the day.
- My priorities are aligned with God's purpose for my life.
- I am productive, efficient, and orderly in all my ways.
- I walk in the rhythm of Grace, not the pressure of the world.
Spirit Challenge
- The Time Audit: For today, track how you spend every hour. Identify the "Time Thieves" (the activities that produce no value).
- The Power Hour: Set aside one hour today for your most important goal. Turn off all devices and focus completely.
- The Priority List: Before you sleep, write down the "Big 3" things you must accomplish tomorrow. Everything else is secondary.
Closing Exhortation
Time is the seed of your legacy.
Don't spend it.
Invest it.
Command your morning.
Rule your day.
Establish your dominion over the clock.
