MARCH 2026 OUR MONTH OF EMERGENCE INTO NEW GLORY

WEEK 2 — GLORY IN MOTION

Focus: Action, obedience, bold steps, visible progress

Theme Emphasis: Emergence is not theory. It requires movement.

DAY 9 — COURAGE TO BE SEEN

Matthew 5:14–16
"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house."

Opening Thought

God did not create your light to remain hidden.

Reflection

Many believers are comfortable serving God privately but feel uneasy when their calling becomes visible. Yet Jesus made something clear in Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world.”

Light has a natural assignment—it shines.

From first principles, light only fulfills its purpose when it becomes visible. Hidden light does not guide anyone. Covered light does not transform environments.

Jesus illustrated this truth with a simple picture. No one lights a lamp and hides it under a basket. Instead, it is placed where it can illuminate the entire room.

In the same way, God places His people in positions where their lives can reflect His glory.

But visibility often requires courage.

Many people struggle with the fear of being misunderstood, criticized, or rejected. Others shrink back because they feel unprepared or unqualified. Yet the kingdom of God does not advance through people who hide their light.

It advances through people who are willing to be seen.

Consider the example of David. Before he became king, he was a shepherd in obscurity. Yet when the moment came to confront Goliath, David stepped forward while others stepped back.

His courage placed him where his faith could be seen.

In every generation, God looks for people who are willing to stand in the light of their calling. Not for attention, but for impact.

Courage to be seen does not mean pursuing fame or recognition. It means refusing to hide the gifts, voice, and influence God has placed within you.

Sometimes courage looks like speaking truth when others stay silent.

Sometimes it looks like starting the work God placed in your heart.

Sometimes it looks like walking confidently in your identity even when others question it.

Visibility in God's kingdom is not about self-promotion. It is about faithful representation.

When you allow your light to shine, you give others permission to find their own.

This week is about movement. And one of the most powerful forms of movement is stepping out of hiding.

Your light was not meant for the shadows.

Let it shine.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the light You have placed within my life. Remove every fear that causes me to hide the calling You have given me. Give me courage to stand boldly in the purpose You prepared for me. Help my life reflect Your glory so that others may see Your goodness. Lead me to influence the places where You have positioned me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Declarations

  • I am the light of the world.
  • I refuse to hide the gifts God placed in me.
  • Courage rises within me to fulfill my calling.
  • My life reflects the glory of God.
  • I shine boldly for God's purpose.

Spirit Challenge

  1. Identify one area where fear has caused you to hold back.
  2. Ask God for courage in that area.
  3. Take one visible step today that reflects your faith or calling.

Closing Exhortation

The world does not need hidden light.

It needs visible truth.

Shine boldly.

Someone’s direction may depend on the light you carry.

Where is God calling you to stop hiding and start shining?
