Nehemiah 6:9
“For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.”
Opposition targets your strength, not your comfort.
Nehemiah was rebuilding what had been broken for generations. The moment progress became visible, resistance intensified. Threats. Lies. Intimidation. Distraction.
The strategy was simple: weaken their hands so the work would stop.
That strategy has not changed. When you begin to build what God assigned, opposition rises to exhaust you mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Fear is introduced. Doubt is amplified. Distractions multiply.
From first principles, anything valuable attracts resistance. The enemy does not fight what is irrelevant. He fights what threatens his territory.
Nehemiah did not argue. He did not retreat. He prayed a direct prayer: Strengthen my hands.
Establishment is not proven by the absence of opposition. It is proven by persistence in the presence of it.
Opposition tests three things:
• Your focus
• Your stamina
• Your conviction
If criticism stops you, your foundation is weak. If intimidation controls you, your confidence is misplaced. But if prayer strengthens you, the work continues.
The wall was completed not because opposition ceased, but because strength prevailed.
In this season, you will not stop building. You will not retreat. You will not weaken.
Father, strengthen my hands for the work You have given me. Silence every voice of intimidation and distraction. I reject fear and discouragement. Empower me to continue building despite opposition. What You have started through me will not be aborted. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If resistance has increased, progress is real.
Build anyway.
Stand anyway.
Finish anyway.
This year 2026, I enter divinely into my new glory.
