The reminder that we are “dust” is not about worthlessness. It’s about perspective. When we release ego, comparison and the need to justify ourselves, we make space for Grace, Growth and Inner peace.
Genesis 3:19 “For dust you are and to dust you will return.”
✝️Ash Wednesday invites radical honesty: I accept my humanity.
I release shame.
I choose growth over guilt.
I return to what gives me life -- bringing us to repentance which means turning back, realigning your life with what truly matters.
Joel 2: 12-13 “Even now, declares the Lord,
return to me with all your heart,
with fasting and weeping and mourning.”
Rend your heart and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate…”
Letting go of habits that harm you
Forgiving yourself
Choosing healthier patterns
Setting boundaries
Ash Wednesday begins the journey toward Easter. It starts with brokenness but moves toward resurrection.
Prayer of Confession: Fast and pray with Psalm 51.
Happy Ash Wednesday
