SERIES 1 — PATRIARCHS & FOUNDATIONS
Joshua 1:2–3
“Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.”
Joshua 1:6
“Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.”
Joshua 1:9
“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Every new territory requires new courage.
Joshua teaches us that divine direction does not eliminate fear — it demands obedience in spite of it.
God does not call leaders when conditions are easy; He calls them when responsibility is heavy and transition is unavoidable.
Joshua stepped into leadership at a critical moment. Moses was gone. The people were watching. The Jordan River stood in front of them. The Promised Land was ahead — but it was occupied, unfamiliar, and intimidating.
God’s instruction to Joshua was simple but demanding:
“Arise… go over this Jordan.”
Joshua was not asked to replace Moses — he was asked to obey God.
The transition into new glory always comes with pressure:
Yet God did not give Joshua a strategy first — He gave him assurance:
“Be strong and courageous.”
Courage is not the absence of fear; it is obedience in the presence of fear.
Joshua’s success was anchored in three divine principles:
God’s promise — “I have given you the land.”
God’s presence — “The Lord your God is with you.”
God’s instruction — “Meditate on My Word day and night.”
In 2026, many believers will be called to lead into unfamiliar spaces:
New roles
New territories
New assignments
New levels of influence
Divine direction does not mean staying safe — it means stepping forward with God.
If God says move, courage is your responsibility.
If God says lead, obedience is your response.
Father, I thank You for Your presence that goes before me. As You led Joshua, lead me into every new territory You have prepared for me. I receive strength where I feel weak, courage where fear tries to rise, and clarity where uncertainty exists. I refuse to be intimidated by new responsibilities. I step forward in faith, knowing You are with me. Lead me into new glory by divine direction. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I am strong and courageous in God’s assignment for my life.
I lead where God has called me to lead.
I will not fear new territory or new responsibility.
The presence of God goes with me wherever I go.
I step boldly into new glory by divine direction.
Identify one area in your life where God is calling you to lead or step forward, but fear has held you back.
Pray over it today.
Write it down.
Declare courage over it.
Then take one obedient step forward.
Joshua crossed into new territory because he trusted God’s direction more than his fear.
Courage unlocks territory.
Obedience sustains glory.
Stand up. Step forward. Lead boldly.
Welcome to 2026 — Our Year of Divine Direction into New Glory.
