Exodus 3:1–2
“Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush…”
Exodus 3:10
“Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.”
Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Divine direction often begins in places that feel hidden, forgotten, or insignificant.
Moses did not encounter God in Pharaoh’s palace, nor on public platforms. He met God on the backside of the desert — a place of obscurity, silence, and preparation.
In 2026, never underestimate where God places you. Your current season may be preparation, not punishment.
Moses was once confident, influential, and positioned in Egypt’s palace. But after acting in his own strength, he fled and spent 40 years in the wilderness — tending sheep, far from relevance and recognition.
What looked like delay was divine direction.
The desert trained Moses in:
Humility instead of pride
Patience instead of impulse
Listening instead of acting
Dependence instead of self-confidence
It was in obedience to daily, ordinary duties that Moses encountered extraordinary direction.
God did not speak while Moses was chasing destiny — He spoke while Moses was faithfully tending sheep.
And then came the call:
“I will send thee…”
Here is a powerful truth for 2026:
Divine direction is often revealed after seasons of quiet obedience.
Many believers want promotion without preparation, influence without intimacy, and calling without character. But God uses hidden places to shape leaders for visible assignments.
Moses teaches us:
God may pull you back before He sends you forward
Delay does not mean denial
Obedience in obscurity qualifies you for authority in public
Your desert season is not wasted. It is shaping your voice, sharpening your discernment, and preparing you for new glory.
Father, I thank You for every season You have allowed in my life — even the hidden ones. Teach me obedience in quiet places and faithfulness in small assignments. Where I feel delayed, remind me that You are preparing me. Align my heart with Your timing, silence my impatience, and position me for Your divine direction into new glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I obey God faithfully in every season.
My hidden seasons are preparing me for visible impact.
I trust God’s timing and divine direction.
I will not rush ahead of God nor lag behind His will.
In 2026, I walk into new glory prepared by obedience.
Reflect today:
Are you obeying God where you are, or resisting because the season feels quiet?
Write down one responsibility or assignment God has already placed in your hands.
Commit to doing it with excellence, faithfulness, and humility.
Remember: God often speaks to those who are already obeying.
Moses met God while tending sheep, not seeking promotion.
Stay faithful. Stay obedient. Stay humble.
Your desert is not your destination — it is your preparation.
Welcome to 2026 — Our Year of Divine Direction into New Glory.
