DAY 11 — SOLOMON: ASKING RIGHT AND ENTERING GLORY

Anchor Scriptures

1 Kings 3:5–9
“In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee… Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people…”

1 Kings 3:12–13
“Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart… I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked…”

James 1:5
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God… and it shall be given him.”

Opening Thought

What you ask determines what you access.
Solomon entered new glory not by ambition, but by alignment of desire.

Reflection

Solomon stood at a critical transition point. He had inherited the throne, but he knew position alone could not sustain purpose. When God appeared and offered him anything, Solomon asked not for wealth, power, or longevity — he asked for wisdom.

This single request revealed a heart aligned with God’s agenda.

Many people pray, but few ask rightly. Solomon teaches us that divine direction is often unlocked by asking for what heaven values, not what ego desires.

God was so pleased with Solomon’s request that He added what Solomon did not ask for — riches, honor, and glory. This is a powerful principle:

When your request aligns with God’s purpose, provision follows naturally.

Solomon’s glory was not accidental. It was the result of a heart that prioritized responsibility over reward, service over status, and wisdom over success.

In 2026, God is not just answering prayers — He is responding to aligned requests.

What you ask for in this season will shape what you enter.

Prayer

Father, I come before You with humility. Align my desires with Your will and teach me to ask for what truly matters. Give me wisdom for decisions, clarity for leadership, and discernment for direction. Remove selfish ambition from my heart and replace it with divine purpose. As I ask rightly, let me enter the new glory You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Declarations

I ask according to God’s will.
I receive divine wisdom for my season.
My requests align with heaven’s purpose.
I walk in wisdom and enter new glory.
God adds to me what I did not ask for.

Spirit Challenge

Today, examine your prayer requests.
Ask yourself: “Does this align with God’s purpose for my life?”

Rewrite one prayer to focus on wisdom, direction, or impact — and present it to God sincerely.

Alignment begins with asking right.

Closing Exhortation

Solomon did not chase glory — he received it by alignment.
Ask right. Walk wisely. Enter glory.
