DEVOTION - SAT. 24TH JANUARY: KATHRYN KUHLMAN, YIELDED DIRECTION INTO GOD’S PRESENCE

A reverent worship setting with a single woman standing quietly on a dimly lit stage, hands lowered in surrender, soft light descending from above, symbolizing the Holy Spirit’s presence. No crowd focus, atmosphere of stillness, holiness, and divine glory. Modern, realistic style with gentle contrasts—no gold overload.

DAY 24 — KATHRYN KUHLMAN: YIELDED DIRECTION INTO GOD’S PRESENCE

Anchor Scriptures

Zechariah 4:6
“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”

Luke 9:23
“And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

Exodus 33:14
“And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

Opening Thought

God’s glory does not rest on talent, visibility, or human strength.
It rests on yielded vessels who allow the Holy Spirit to lead fully.
Kathryn Kuhlman’s life reveals that new glory flows where self ends and God begins.

Reflection

Kathryn Kuhlman was not known for dramatic sermons or personal promotion.
She was known for one thing — the manifest presence of God.

She often stepped aside, saying, “Don’t touch the glory.”
She understood a rare spiritual truth:

God does not share His glory with the flesh.

Her ministry was marked by miracles not because she chased power, but because she yielded completely to the Holy Spirit. She spoke only when led. She stopped services when the presence lifted. She refused to perform when God was silent.

Kathryn paid a high price for yieldedness.
She chose obedience over applause.
Presence over popularity.
Submission over self-expression.

And heaven responded.

In 2026, many want God’s glory, but few are willing to die to self.
Kathryn Kuhlman shows us that:

  • Glory follows surrender

  • Direction flows from intimacy

  • Power increases when flesh decreases

New glory is not accessed by force — it is entered through yielded obedience.

God is still searching for men and women who will say,
“Holy Spirit, have Your way.”

Prayer

Father, I surrender my will, my desires, and my ambitions to You. Lead me by Your Spirit and remove every trace of self that competes with Your presence. I ask for grace to yield fully, obey quietly, and follow You faithfully. Let my life become a dwelling place for Your presence and a carrier of new glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Declarations

I am yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
God’s presence rests upon my life.
I decrease, and Christ increases in me.
I follow divine direction without resistance.
Through surrender, I enter new glory.

Spirit Challenge

Today, intentionally quiet yourself before God.
Turn down distractions.
Listen more than you speak.
Ask the Holy Spirit one question —
“What must I surrender to go higher in You?”
Write it down.
Yield it fully.

Glory rests on surrendered ground.

Closing Exhortation

God’s presence is His greatest gift.
When you learn to yield, He learns to rest on you.
And where God rests, glory is revealed.

Welcome to 2026 —
Our Year of New Glory.
