DEVOTION - TUES. 25TH NOVEMBER: THE MINISTRY OF INFLUENCE: USING YOUR LIFE FOR GOD’S PURPOSE

A radiant silhouette of a person standing on a hilltop at sunrise, glowing with warm golden light that spreads outward. Light rays symbolize influence, purpose, and destiny. Soft Scripture overlay: “Let your light shine — Matthew 5:16.” Atmosphere should feel uplifting, divine, and inspiring, with tones of gold, white, and soft blue.

NOVEMBER: OUR MONTH OF LATTER GLORY

Haggai 2:9“The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts…”
Isaiah 60:1“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.”
Psalm 3:3“But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.”

DAY 25 — THE MINISTRY OF INFLUENCE: USING YOUR LIFE FOR GOD’S PURPOSE

Scriptures:

Matthew 5:16

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

2 Corinthians 3:2

“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men.”

Proverbs 11:30

“…He that winneth souls is wise.”

Reflection:

Every believer carries a ministry — not only on the pulpit, but in everyday life. This ministry is called influence.

Jesus said, “Let your light shine…”
This is not a suggestion.
It is a mandate.

Your life is meant to shine in such a way that people are drawn not to you, but to God through you.

Influence is not about popularity, fame, or social media followers.
Influence is:

  • How you treat people
  • How you speak
  • How you respond to pressure
  • How you carry yourself in difficult seasons
  • How you love, serve, forgive, and give
  • How your life reflects Christ without announcing it

Paul calls believers “living epistles” — meaning people read your life even when you say nothing.

Your life is preaching a message every day.

Three Ways to Use Your Influence for God’s Purpose

1. Influence through character

Your integrity is louder than your words. When people see consistency, honor, and humility, they see Christ.

2. Influence through service

Influence is stewardship. The more you serve people, the more heaven increases your reach.

3. Influence through compassion

People may resist sermons, but they cannot resist love, kindness, and sincere care.

Influence is part of your latter glory.
God lifts you so you can lift others.
God blesses you so you can bless others.
God shines on you so you can shine for Him.

Your life is a divine instrument — may your influence lead many to Christ.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for entrusting me with influence. Help me to shine with Your character, Your compassion, and Your wisdom. Use my life as a light that leads others to Jesus. Let my words, choices, and actions glorify You in all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Declaration:

  • My life shines with the light of Christ.
  • I am a carrier of influence that glorifies God.
  • People encounter Jesus through my words, actions, and character.
  • I walk in divine purpose, divine impact, and divine assignment.
  • My latter glory includes influence for kingdom advancement.

Spirit Challenge:

Do one intentional act of kingdom influence today:
Encourage someone, pray for someone, help someone, or share Christ with someone.
Small seeds create eternal impact.
