Haggai 2:9 – “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts…”
Isaiah 60:1 – “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.”
Psalm 3:3 – “But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.”
“The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts…”
“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.”
“…He who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
As this month of Latter Glory comes to an end, God reminds you of a timeless truth: His plans for your life are progressive, not regressive. God does not design your life to fade—He designs it to shine brighter.
In Haggai 2:9, God spoke to a discouraged people who felt that what they were building was inferior to what they had lost. Yet Heaven declared the opposite:
“Your latter shall exceed your former.”
Job 8:7 reinforces this covenant pattern: small beginnings, great endings.
And Philippians 1:6 assures us that God never abandons a work He starts.
Your best is still ahead because:
God is not finished with you — His work continues.
Your story is still unfolding — there are chapters yet to be written.
Your past is preparation, not conclusion — everything is leading you forward.
Your destiny is guided by God’s promise, not your circumstances.
Your future carries a glory greater than anything behind you.
Whatever this year has looked like—delays, disappointments, victories, or breakthroughs—God declares that the next season holds greater glory, greater grace, and greater manifestation.
The path of the righteous is designed to shine brighter and brighter (Proverbs 4:18).
This means your tomorrow is divinely engineered to outshine your yesterday.
Father, thank You for the promise of latter glory. I surrender my future into Your hands. Lift my faith, enlarge my expectation, and prepare me to walk in everything You have ordained. Let the fullness of Your promise be revealed in my life. My best is still ahead, and I receive it by faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
My latter glory shall exceed my former glory.
God is perfecting everything concerning my destiny.
I walk into greater increase, favour, and divine fullness.
The work God started in me is rising to completion.
My future is blessed, bright, and full of glory.
Write down three areas of your life where you need to raise your expectation — spiritual growth, career, relationships, finances, purpose, or ministry. Declare God’s promises over them throughout the week.

“And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.” — Daniel 12:3
