October: Our Month of Freedom & Dominion
Anchor Scriptures for the Month (NKJV)
“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.” — Colossians 1:13
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” — John 8:36
5-Day Praise Series: “Praise — The Testimony of Freedom & Dominion”
As we draw the curtain on this powerful month, we begin a 5-day devotional series exploring how praise perfects our freedom and sustains our dominion.
Each day this week, we’ll uncover a new dimension of praise — how it liberates, empowers, and establishes believers as kings in life.
Tuesday, October 28
PRAISE: THE SEAL OF DOMINION
Scripture Readings
Psalm 149:5–9 — “Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples…”
2 Chronicles 20:21–22 — “When they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.”
Romans 8:37 — “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
Reflection — Praise Keeps You on the Throne
Dominion is not a one-time victory; it is a lifestyle of enthroning God daily. The moment you stop praising, you start sinking — just like Peter on the water. Praise shifts your focus from what’s wrong to who is right — God Almighty.
When Judah went into battle, they didn’t carry weapons; they carried worship. The moment they lifted their voices, the Lord Himself took over the fight. Jehoshaphat’s army never had to swing a sword — their melody became their military might.
True dominion is sustained not by effort, but by exaltation. When you praise, you make God your Commander-in-Chief, and the enemy loses his authority.
If you want to keep winning in life, don’t stop singing. Dominion flows from a heart that praises God — not only when it’s convenient, but even in crisis.
When you keep praising, you keep reigning.
Prayer
Father, I enthrone You over every area of my life today — my family, work, and nation. Let every enemy be scattered as I raise my song of victory. Turn every battle into triumph as I worship You in spirit and in truth. Amen.
Declaration
“With songs of praise, I establish divine rulership over every area of my life. The sound of worship in my mouth breaks every chain, silences every enemy, and opens every gate of destiny.”
Spirit Challenge
Spend at least 10 minutes today in personal praise — no requests, no complaints. Just gratitude and worship. Let your song be your sword. Let your joy be your warfare.
